Yankton's Mayor Curt Bernard challenged the validity of the recall petitions complaining that the reasons for the recall stated on the petitions wasn't grounds for a recall.  Sorry, it doesn't matter what was stated on the petitions.  Gather enough signatures and it is going to a vote. 

I serve at the pleasure of the voters.  If a group wants an election to force me out of office for having red hair they have the right, as long as they get enough valid signatures.
