$7.7 Million Snowball
My son keeps asking if the snow we currently have is good for making big snowballs. I have to explain that it hasn't been warm enough to make sticky snow yet. Except in the College of Engineering at SDSU. The Department of Defense has awarded $7.7 million for research to the College of Engineering. Research dollars like this have a snowball effect. Part of the funds is used to buy equipment, that along with the knowledged gained buy the current project will help secure more funds and so on and so on. This is only the start of an explosion of growth in Brookings and SDSU that will keep Brookings economy strong.
