SDSU important to Brookings and the State

Campanile.jpgSioux Falls opportunity to host The Summit League Men's and Women's Basketball Championship is a great example how SDSU's Division I move was a good for the region and the state.  A couple of years ago I heard a gentlemen from Watertown comment that SDSU belonged to Brookings.  I think the comment was "Watertown doesn't have your SDSU".  That comment caused me to think about SDSU's relationship with Brookings and the rest of the State.  Brookings should always focus on a partnership with SDSU keeping in mind that other cities would love to host the State's largest university.  Why do you think Sioux Falls fought so hard to expand USDSU / University Center.  On the other hand the University belongs to the whole State and other cities should look for ways to benefit.  SDSU's advancement will always benefit Brookings, directly or indirectly.
