City Council Meeting agendas and supporting materials are published end of day Thursday before the Tuesday night meetings.  Council Members and City Staff refer to it as 'The Packet'. Highlights of the agenda for the 7.10.09 City Council Meeting.

• City Council Appointment Process - With Mike Reitz resigning from the Council effective end of July we can appointment a member to fill his seat until the next city election.  I was appointed when Scott left his seat to become the Mayor, and then ran for election.  If someone is thinking about running for council it is a easy way to become an incumbent.  The council has a policy to help with this process.  What will be interesting is who will apply.  We do not have to appoint someone unless someone else would leave the council.  Membership must be at least 6.
• City Manger Recruitment - Dennis Falken will complete his one year contract end of this year.  The question before us is do we use a consultant or our City Personnel Manager for the recruitment process.
