Brookings Banter

Jason Folkerts sent this toon (as he calls them) out for newspapers around the state to use for free.  Jason's work is very whimsical and fun, and at times he really makes you think.  Several SD newspapers use him on a regular basis.   The Brookings Register was copied on the email giving this toon away for free.  I hope The Register uses it and starts working with Jason to have some fun with local issues.

For those of you not aware of the subject matter, Sen. Johnson is making his first public appearance since his stroke like attack nine months ago.  During his recovery no interviews were being granted.  Come to find out that ABC's Bob Woodruff was granted exclusive interviews and followed his progress.  SD media wasn't happy and the please keep confidential letter that Johnson's camp sent out to apologise was leaked.  To me this was just amusing although it was all the rage in SD political blogs.  The best coverage was at SD War College .
