SDSU - No Longer the Best Kept Secret

Campanile.jpgThe Brookings Register printed the SDSU University Relations article announcing that an Executive Assistant to the President has been hired and will start in September.  Bob Otterson was named to the position and comes to State with a background in communications and marketing.  Although it is not directly stated in the article it looks like Mr. Otterson will be responsible for external affairs.

SDSU has often been called one of the best keep secrets.  Why we wanted to keep it a secret I don't know.  President Miller often commented that her first task was getting SDSU to realize how great it is and what could be accomplished.  She continued with externally promoting the University.  With this position, President Chicoine is also acknowledging the importance of promoting SDSU.
